Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a charming countryside retreat nestled among the rolling hills of Donegal. This traditional 100-year-old stone cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to combine original character with modern comfort, offering beautiful views and a peaceful setting close to local villages, beaches and some of Donegal’s best-known attractions.

The cottage sleeps up to four guests across two comfortable bedrooms and features a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove, a well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a separate laundry area. Outside, guests can enjoy mature gardens surrounding the cottage, a sunny rear patio during the day and a front garden that is perfect for relaxing in the evening and taking in the surrounding countryside. Rose Cottage is ideally located for exploring this part of Donegal. It sits along the Wild Atlantic Way and close to the Bluestack Trails, with a number of quiet sandy beaches within a 10–15 minute drive. Narin’s Blue Flag beach and golf course are nearby, while Ardara offers horse riding, traditional pubs, restaurants and live music during the summer months.

Further afield, both Sliabh Liag and Glenveagh National Park are around a 45-minute drive away. Other nearby attractions include waterfalls, ancient ring forts and the scenic railway running along Lough Finn, making Rose Cottage a lovely base for discovering the landscapes, heritage and culture of County Donegal.
